Interface Progress

Just a note to say that I am back from vacation and have started coding. It feels like I'm enrolled in the skol for Kids who cant Read or Write Good. haha. I have a good flash teacher! ----> Leonard of TYLER!

Below is the restaurant view for the waitress that I've come up with for the artist. I've modified it after my obeservations at Starbucks. I'll add the sequence diagram for the gameplay later.

Ideas for Pocket Cafe

My ideas for Pocket Cafe, since we are changing the food menu to cakes and pastries;

1. Different cake themes - Effiel tower cake? Statue of Liberty Cake

2. Have a calender which shows special occasions e.g. Easter - so there'll be Easter bunny cakes, sell Easter bunny muffins, cookies; so when the calender shows the special occasion, the cafe can start pushing and selling these special event cakes...

3. When the player reaches higher levels, they can start making and selling wedding cakes

Pocket Cafe Developer Diary #2

Our artist, Lilian, has come up with the character sketch and filled it out with colour. This is a first draft.

In gameplay development, after much deliberation, we have decided to scrape away the western food ideas and change the food menu on Pocket Cafe.

Sadly, all the work I've done for the western menu will have to be scraped.

I had come up with the recipe menu where the player will unlock the menu after acquiring enough money.

Change management issues!

Girls like to play cooking games, and baking nice cakes, pastries, so we'll do that instead with Pocket Cafe and hopefully with really pretty graphics.
The Cafe will serve foods like cakes, tarts, pastries, muffins as we believe girls will find that more enticing, especially if we do up the game with really good graphics.
Heard lots of people raving about cake mania, so I played it. And in my honest opinion, I was bored to death as the graphics was ugly, gameplay was torturously slow and boring, not much character development, cakes were only square, rectangle, triangle or round and top it with some purple,red, chocolate or white coating.
Well, I think we'll definitely come up with something way better.

Artist's version of Characters

Lilian the visual artist, drew up 2 new sketches for the pocket cafe characters..I like them! so sweeeeeet!!! only the first draft tho, she, me n leonard had a meeting to ensure that the end product will come out as we had envisioned.

Spiderman 3

So the whole of Tyler went to watch Spiderman 3 last night as part of team bonding.
They taught that team bonding was of utmost importance during SE(Software Engineering)...so this time... the team bonding is FIERCE!
damn, should have videoed it or something for the final presentation.

About Spiderman 3,
I think I like Tobey Maguire better when was "possessed" by the Venom creature...as Spiderman he's so goody goody... so boring...
but as Venom with his hair combed down and sorta oily and his crazy eyes...he was so much more fun...granted, he was pretty mean haha...but it was funny
& Aunt May is so sweet and kind...i cant believe she could just forgive uncle ben's killer...we could all learn to be nicer like her.
anyways i like the orginal spiderman 1 the best. im bored with the spiderman franchise already.
i cant wait to watch pirates of the carribean...i need to know what happens to Jack Sparrow!
